You say you can’t get enough of Anna, Elsa and Olaf. Or you are wearing out the “Frozen” soundtrack on your car CD as the kids belt out the Academy Award-winning song “Let it Go” from the back seat. Well the Disney Oscar-winning movie that has the distinction of being the number one animated feature of all time, will soon be skating into an arena in your hometown.

“Frozen,” the blockbuster Disney movie about two royal sisters will be sculpted into a live ice skating production by Feld Entertainment.

Feld, which is the company responsible for taking Disney animated characters and bringing them to life in spectacular ice extravaganzas, has announced that “Frozen” will begin touring this fall with tickets now on sale. But just like movie merchandise that is scarce at Disney Stores and theme parks you do not want to waste time to purchase your tickets. The rush for the latest princess costume or plush Olaf could mean a run on the box office for ice show tickets.

The production promises a fantastical winter wonderland of Arendelle beyond all audiences’ imagination. Anna and Elsa will be joined by the hilarious snowman Olaf, Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven and the mystical trolls as they and audience members’ alike journey to discover that true love is ultimately the most magical power of all.

Producer Nicole Feld says her company has been waiting for a film like “Frozen” for more than 30 years. She adds that “while it might seem obvious that ‘Frozen’ is well suited for the ice,” the production will reach audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating.

“Frozen” film directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee add they are excited about the next chapter in the lives of their beloved characters. In a joint statement the directors said “Seeing audiences around the world embrace ‘Frozen’ has been the experience of a lifetime. And to now have the chance to consult with the talented team at Feld Entertainment and watch their creation come to life on ice, is thrilling.”

As with all of the other Disney on Ice productions, “Frozen” will be hosted by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse with special Disney princess guest appearances as well characters from Disney Pixar “Toy Story,” “Finding Nemo,” and Walt Disney Pictures “The Lion King.”

The Feld creative team is promising an immersive experience for the audience as the set design will encompass the space from the ice surface up through the air, drawing everyone into the story and closer to the characters. Feld says families will feel that they are trekking up to the North Mountains with Anna, Kristoff and Sven and they will experience the storm inside Elsa. Her unique magic will be enhanced by state-of-the-art special effects while her emotions will be conveyed through powerful skating.

Disney’s “Frozen” On Ice will open in Orlando in September and run through much of 2015. The production marks the 34th Disney On Ice spectacular staged by Feld Entertainment.
