USA- Disney just announced "Aladdin" coming to Broadway which created a buzz like never before. Why? Because "Aladdin" was a huge hit for the film box office and is sure to be a Tony Award nominated work, that could keep many artists hired for years and years to come.
Producer Disney Theatrical Productions with casting by Tara Rubin Casting are about to break a record for the largest audition turn out to date. As Disney's first "Aladdin" cast at Disneyland, CA singing Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice music was like Cinderella going to the Ball, meeting her Prince in the big Disney castle. "Aladdin" is one of the funnest shows for entertainers as well as audiences. This future Broadway production contract could be the work you needed to buy that NYC condo. It is certain to be a huge hit!

Disney Theatrical Productions have listed the dates as approximate with rehearsals starting Fall of 2013 in NYC. "Alladin" the musical will play in Toronto first in early winter of 2013/2014. Rehearsals in NYC are winter 2014 with the NYC performances in spring of 2014.
Based on the much loved animated film, Aladdin: The new "Aladdin" stage musical tells the story of a street-smart commoner whose whole life changes with one rub of a magic lamp. This new "Aladdin" incorporates all of the beloved songs from the film's Oscar®-winning score plus never-before-heard Menken/Ashman songs restored from early drafts of the score. It marks a return to the authors' original vision: a loving homage to the Hope-Crosby road pictures with a score invoking the jazz sound of stars like Cab Calloway and Fats Waller.
The auditions are held at Pearl Studios located at 500 8th Ave, 12th Floor NY, NY starting time is 10:00 am through 6:00 p.m. each day. Please note Casting will take lunch from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please prepare a traditional musical theatre song that shows vocal range. Bring sheet music in correct key. Accompanist is provided but may not transpose. Actors of all cultural backgrounds are strongly encouraged to attend.

JASMINE: 20s, any ethnicity. Intelligent young princess with insight beyond her years and station; seeks a life beyond the confines of privilege. Fantastic belter that can mix through the break to soprano.
BABKAK: 20s, any ethnicity. Chubby, romantic desert dweller, part of Aladdin’s band; the “Crosby” of this Arabian “Road” picture, although perhaps with a bit more flair. Power tenor.
OMAR: 20s, any ethnicity. Nervous, thin, reedy desert dweller, part of Aladdin’s band; the “Lamour.” Bari-tenor.
GENIE: 30s-40s, any ethnicity. Quick-witted, fast-talking, ancient genie who knows all time and place; an old-school song-and-dance man.
SULTAN: 50s, any ethnicity. Kind-hearted, widowed ruler of Agrabah; gets so caught up in following the law and tradition that he overlooks his daughter Jasmine’s desires and gets swindled by his own vizier.
