The next “Limited Time Magic” event to take place at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort might result in toe-tapping and sing-alongs. On Feb. 22, the Disney Parks Blog announced the Dapper Dans, the barbershop quartet that sings on Main Street, U.S.A., will lend their golden-toned voices to boy band songs.
The Dapper Dans for the Limited Time Magic event, will perform a new medley of songs featuring music from such boy bands as One Direction, Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC.
In keeping with spirit of Limited Time Magic, the lineup will be kept a surprise. But “the Original Boy Band,” as Disney joking referred to the Dapper Dans, will include familiar hits that – as Disney Parks Blog characterizes it – will “have ‘Everybody’ seeing ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ before they say ‘Bye, Bye, Bye.’”
These special performances of Dapper Dans will take place Feb. 25 – March 3 at Magic Kingdom, in Walt Disney World, and at Disneyland Park.
Disney Parks celebrates a year of Limited Time Magic in 2013. The promotion showcases a special experience that take place at Walt Disney World and Disneyland for a limited time before the next surprise debuts.
Limited Time Magic experiences have included a week-long Valentine’s Day celebration and a Long Lost Friends Week with rarely seen Disney characters. Future experiences will include a week-long Independence Day celebration and a Friday the 13th event to “Unleash the Villains.”
