Doors for tonight’s opening performance of Disney On Ice: Mickey and Minnie’s Magical Journey will open at 6 p.m. The world-renowned show begins tonight at the KFC Yum! Center at 7 p.m. Eight performances are scheduled through Sunday, Sept. 18 for the show, which pairs legendary Disney Characters with the grace and athleticism of ice dancing.

For each performance, beloved Disney characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse, along with friends from classics such as Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch and The Lion King will come to life on the arena’s vast indoor ice ring. The family-friendly event will have adults and children alike singing along to familiar tunes and using their imaginations.

Along with the show, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will also be making an appearance on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. in conjunction with the Yum! Brands Foundation to help stuff backpacks for the “Backpack Buddy” program. The program is designed to provide a backpack full of nutritious food for local low-income youth to enjoy on the weekends, when a free or reduced lunch is not available. Backpacks and food are provided by The Dare to Care Food Bank.

Tickets for all Disney On Ice shows are still available for purchase at the KFC Yum! Center, Kentucky Exposition Center and Kentucky International Convention Center Ticket Offices. Tickets may also be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, through Ticketmaster Charge by Phone at 1-800-745-3000 and online at www.ticketmaster.com.
