Walt Disney Pictures follows the life of brown bears that live along the picturesque coastal mountains and shores of the coast that call Alaska their home in “Bears,” coming to theaters Friday, April 18, 2014.
Directors Keith Scholey and Alastair Fothergill complete the beautiful film with imagery of Alaska’s landscapes and close up shots of the brown bears that consider the land their home. The playfulness of the bears and sweet moments between the bears show just how non-grizzly these animals can be.
Alan Bergman, president of The Walt Disney Studios had this to say about the upcoming Disney Nature film:
Our commitment to the production of Disney nature films is to capture nature on its own terms and its own schedule. These films are never rushed so that we can tell never before seen stories in our natural world that both astound and charm audiences. Disney nature’s next adventure, “Bears,” promises to continue this storytelling tradition by introducing audiences to a phenomenal variety of wildlife and offering rare glimpses into the day-to-day lives of these incredible animals.
“Bears” is currently being filmed in Alaska’s Katmai National Park.
Look for “Bears” in theaters next spring.
