Disney Infinity launches Sunday, August 18, but a throng of fans showed up today at Nintendo World in Rockefeller Center to get their hands on the game early and take part in some fun events. Showcasing what Disney is all about, families gathered to create within Infinity's Toy Box, putting together worlds to play in with their favorite characters coming along for the ride.
Children in the crowd really took to the game, many getting to control their favorite animated heroes for the first time and use their imagination to build within the Toy Box before hopping on the life size Infinity base in attendance creating a little light magic.
Parents on hand gobbled up Infinity for the Wii U and numerous figures, along with Power Discs, ensuring the little ones wouldn't be missing anything vital when they arrived home.
The Disney Infinity party moves to Times Square tomorrow, with Toys R Us hosting a large launch event where fans can pick up the game and also get their hands on the Infinity Crystal Series line of figures and Power Discs. The Crystal Series line is only available at Toys R Us, with collectible figures that have enhanced in-game abilities, including their own exclusive area to be displayed in game. Available at Toys R Us for launch will be the Lightning McQueen Infinite figure and Mike's Car Power Disc, featuring Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.
You can pick up Disney Infinity tomorrow or order now here.
