Two of Disney Junior’s most popular stars, Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First, have joined the cast of characters at Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine at Hollywood & Vine. The two have joined the character dining experience, located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, announced Disney Parks Blog on Jan. 27.
At the refreshed Disney Junior Play ‘n Disney experience, Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First join Handy Manny and Jake from “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” also Disney Junior characters, at Hollywood & Vine. These character meals are designed to appeal especially to young guests. They are invited to get (inter)active with the characters and their hosts, the Disney Junior Play Pals, during special musical moments that those familiar with the TV shows will enjoy.
The Hollywood & Vine character meals will offer new musical numbers highlighting the new characters. Disney guests will get be encouraged to “Ready for Action” with Doc McStuffins and the Play Pals and be reminded, as Sofia the First promises, that they can do “Anything.” The character meals will continue to feature other Disney Junior songs, including the “Hot Dog Song” from “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” and “Talk Like a Pirate” from “Jake and the Never Land Pirates.”
The Hollywood & Vine restaurant offers buffet-style breakfasts and lunches, serving American food as part of the Disney Junior character dining experience. The breakfast buffet serves such reliable fare as Mickey waffles, frittatas, pastries and fresh fruit. The lunch buffet offers a variety of dishes meant to appeal to both kids and adults; the menu includes baked chicken, deli meats, pastas and salads, as well as an ice-cream sundae station. A dinner buffet is available at Hollywood & Vine, but does not operate as a Disney Junior meet-and-greet.
Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) are highly recommended for Hollywood & Vine’s Disney Junior Play ‘n Disney. ADRs may be made online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
Disney Junior characters also appear at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in “Disney Junior - Live on Stage,” a show aimed at preschoolers. The approximately 25-minute performance, which encourages young guests to get active, takes place at Animation Courtyard theater several times each day.
