If you thought the new “Disney Infinity” “Wreck it Ralph,” “Rapunzel” and “Frozen” toy box sets were doomed for failure, think again.
In an exclusive interview with Examiner, “Disney Infinity” Art Director Jeff Bunker and Executive Producer John Vignocchi said they’ve heard nothing but positive comments from retailers carrying the new playsets and that if anything, they were helped by the theatrical release of “Frozen,” as well as the outcry of the game’s fans who wanted more female characters in the game.
“The reception has been incredible,” Vignocchi said. “I was with retailers last week and Walmart told me that Rapuzel, which was available exclusively there, was the fastest selling interactive toy they’ve had since the toys-to-life category was introduced. People have been really excited.”
The first major toy box sets to feature newer and not as mainstream as characters since the game was launched, the “Frozen” toy box set even allows gamers to change the color of the land and sky.
