Those who enjoy the fun of the toy box in “Disney Infinity,” should expect plenty more fun from the series moving forward.
In an exclusive interview with Examiner, “Disney Infinity” art director Jeff Bunker says the game has plenty of tricks up its collective sleeves and can only get “bigger and better.”
“I think that we have really seen a community growing for the user-generated content and the power of building things in the toy box,” he told Examiner. ”I think it’s something that you could see us focusing on more in the future.”
Since its release on August 18, the game has sold 1.75 million copies according to video game sales tracker VGChartz. During that time, the team has released several character packs that spread far across the Disney Universe, from “The Lone Ranger,” to “Wreck-It Ralph.”
For the “Disney Infinity” team, much of the game’s success comes from the toy box.
“We’re really in the process of creating this new generation of storytellers via this interactive format,” “Disney Infinity” Executive Producer John Vignocchi told Examiner.
