The next Play Set coming to Disney Infinity will be based on the Cars universe from Pixar. Early this morning Disney Interactive revealed new images and a trailer to show fans the collectible figures and what they’ll look like in-game.
Players will return to Radiator Springs and get to choose from both Cars and Cars 2 characters to play as. Lightning McQueen, Mater, Holley Shiftwell and Francesco Bernoulli will be able to zip around Radiator Springs, have a blast completing challenges in the stunt park and have the ability to customize Radiator Springs almost any way you’d like it.
Adding the Cars Play Set to Disney Infinity will also allow players to add tons of new customizations to their expanding tool set in Toy Box mode. You’ll be able to create your own race tracks and be able to have the Cars characters interact with the already revealed Play Sets from Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Incredibles.
For the uninitiated Disney Infinity is a multiplatform game that uses physical, collectible toys to enhance what’s shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games coming this year. Disney Infinity is coming this June on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Wii and Nintendo 3DS.
