Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes” was originally slated for a fall release, but thanks to their official webcast we now have a new launch window. While we have yet to receive word of an official release date, executive producer John Vignocchi revealed on May 1 that the next “Disney Infinity” installment will be released sometime in September.

“Check out all the Avengers that are going to be part of the 2.0 edition of ‘Disney Infinity’ out this September,” Vignocchi said during the webcast.

If Vignocchi’s September announcement is true, the release window differs from the August 2014 release window that the Official Disney fan club mentioned in a now removed post. However, the fan club stated in a follow up that they had “erroneously reported about the launch”.

As revealed earlier this week, “Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes” is the latest installment in a game that brings various toy characters from the Disney Universe to life in a sandbox style game. The the name suggests, this chapter brings the player Marvel characters. Confirmed characters include Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. However, the trailer released also hinted at additional characters, including Merida from Disney’s “Brave” and Maleficent.
