We all make them. To lose more weight. To be a better person. To volunteer more.
We throw everything including the kitchen sink, into our New Year’s resolutions. The words come out of your mouth on January 1st and January 2nd, we have a list of items written in stone but not the resolve.
So instead, why not start out simple – look over your past trips to Walt Disney World and consider what you did not do on those trips and should consider doing on this next trip:
Actually Staying at the Grand Floridian: This Disney Deluxe Resort is my wife favorite. We always have one day where we have visit the resort, take lots of pictures and of course, have breakfast with Mary Poppins at 1900 Park Fare. However, the thought of actually spending the night at this Deluxe Resort creates a fear that our small budget would explode. One thing we have been considering is perhaps either starting our stay or ending our stay with a day or two at this deluxe resort.
Actually drinking Beverly: Many travelers to EPCOT have opinions about this particular Italian soda made by Coca Cola and as Thomas Smith posted in his blog, “it has a distinct taste.” From other stories I have heard from others on Disney forums, that description is putting it mildly. However, when we travel down to Walt Disney World, I do make it a point of trying something new when it comes to food, so I will have to try this.
Stay Up Late: Despite our best efforts, we have never seen the either the Wishes Nighttime fireworks display nor the Main Street Electrical Parade. We have discussed it many times about how exciting it would be to see them, however, our touring schedule is to start out early and end the day early. We our usually back in our resort room watching something on the Disney Channel by 9 pm or talking about the events of the day or writing about the events of the day. The only night time show we actually make sure we see is Fantasmic. Our next vacation, we are going to seriously consider staying late and trying to see one of those late night spectaculars at the Magic Kingdom.
Try a Water Park: My kids always want to go swimming when we travel down to the warm weather of Orlando. While they love jumping and splashing in the resort pool, there is always one of them that consistently asks about going to one of the Water Parks. It’s something we have been talking about trying at some point and maybe our next visit we will have to include a visit to either Disney’s Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon.
No matter how many times you visited Walt Disney World, there is always something you new that you need to consider doing, and what better time to start thinking about what to do on your next Walt Disney World vacation than right now at the start of the year?
Happy New Year everyone!
