As you can see in the video at left, the final block of the Disney Fantasy is now in place. From the exterior, it looks nearly ready to go, but there's still a lot of work to be done on the interior spaces.
Its sister ship, the Disney Dream, marked quite a change from the Disney Magic and Wonder. Technology went through many advances in the time between 1998/1999 and the present, and the Dream made full use of those changes. Some of the big differences are the interactive artwork (and the detective agency game that uses the paintings), real-time interactions with Crush the Turtle in the Animator's Palate restaurant, and the Aquaduck water slide.
The Fantasy will incorporate the best of the Dream with some new perks and adapated spaces, based on guest feedback. For example, the Skyline Lounge, which features changing cityscapes outside its "windows" (really flat screens) has proven wildly popular and will be larger on the new ship.
