Disney Dream vs. Disney Fantasy: What are the differences between the two ships?

The Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy are sister ships, just as their older siblings, the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder, share the same basic design and many of the same details, like the Parrot Cay and Animator's Palate restaurants and the Disney Dream stage show.

But the Magic and Wonder have their differences, as will the Dream and Fantasy. Here are a few of them:

  • Animator’s Palate will have the same name on both ships, as it does on the classic vessels, but the shows will be distinctly difference. Crush the sea turtle chats with guests live on the Dream, while guests' own drawings will come to life on the Fantasy, thanks to some magic from Sorcerer Mickey.
  • The Dream offers spa treatments to kids and teens, but the Fanasty will let them go all out at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where they can get a full make-over. You don't just have to choose to be a princess. You can also mimic other characters like Captain Mickey or First Mate Minnie or get the Under the Sea package.
  • The Dream has "Believe," its signature show, but the Fantasy's signature will be "Wishes," the story of a group of teens at Disneyland wondering about their futures. Like "Believe" and "Disney Dreams," it will feature a rich array of Disney characters and songs. The Fantasy also gets "Aladdin," an extremely popular offering from Disney's California Adventure.
  • The adult nightclub district will be named Europa, with a theme inspired by European travel.
