For many guests and Disney foodies, the opportunity to sample the many desserts at Walt Disney World Resort are part of the fun of a theme-park vacation. And there are plenty of sweet treats to choose from: an ice-cream sundae on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, the sinfully delicious crème brulee at Epcot’s Le Cellier Steakhouse, or the exotic ‘Ohana Bananas Foster Bread Pudding at the Polynesian Resort.

One of the more colorful and memorable desserts served at Walt Disney World is the cheesecake available at Everything Pop, the Pop Century Resort food court. While it can’t claim to be the absolute best, to-die-for cheesecake the theme parks and resorts offer, it is TIE-DYED and perhaps one of Disney’s most fun desserts.

Pop Century’s tie-dyed cheesecake is not your traditional cheesecake. The cheesecake colors – red, purple, yellow, light blue, green, orange – whirl and swirl in a patterns held in place by a red-velvet cake crust.

Readers who would like more on Disney desserts might enjoy reading about the Cinderella Chocolate Slipper, Walt Disney World's best ice cream, or the Dole Whip Experience.

While an agreeable alternative to Disney’s more expensive and elegant cheesecake versions, the appeal of the tied-dyed cheesecake’s isn't solely in the dessert's taste or price. It’s in the pop of color and fun that comes with a slice. Families with kids will find the cheesecake a big hit, especially once the children discover their tongues are temporarily “tie-dyed” after eating a piece.

The tie-dyed cheesecake finds a fitting home in Pop Century’s food court, as it evokes the groovy, free-spirited and even hallucinogenic ‘60s, which as part of the resort’s theming to pop-culture icons of various decades.

While it’s probably not worth visiting Pop Century solely for the tie-dyed cheesecake, guests who stay at the budget-friendly Value Resort or are visiting the resort for another reason might want to sample a slice of unforgettable foodie fun. (Guests who prefer a tasty chocolate treat might try the brownies.)

The recipe for Pop Century’s tie-dyed cheesecake is available at AllEars.net, for guests who would like to try making Walt Disney World Resort dessert at home.

That looks sooo good... I haven't been to Disney World since the '70s, so I expect a lot of food changes... Maybe, one day I'll make a vacation, just for the food...
