As reported by this column in its coverage of Easter 2010 at Walt Disney World, the Wishes Dessert Party is once again taking reservations. Disney confirmed the Magic Kingdom private dining experience will resume, taking reservations March 28 for dates through Dec. 29, 2010.
The Wishes Dessert Party starts one hour before the Magic Kingdom’s nightly fireworks show. Held at Tomorrowland Terrace, this dessert party offers Disney guests the chance to relax before the show, enjoying comfortable seating and a good viewing spot, and nibble on some of Disney’s tasty treats.

Buffet items include a variety of sweets – chocolates, pastries, fresh fruits – and beverages. There are items for guests who enjoy cake and cookies, chocolate tastes, and fruit flavors. There are also lighter and sugar-free options, and guests with dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated. Make sure to note your needs when making reservations.
The 2010 Wishes Dessert Party at Walt Disney World is available nightly, except for the following Grad Night dates that take place at the Magic Kingdom:
- April 23, 24, and 30
- May 1
UPDATE, May 3: Disney guests have been able to book Wishes Dessert Parties through Aug. 14, 2010.
UPDATE, July 19: Disney guests are now able to book Wishes Dessert Parties through Dec. 29, 2010. A price increase is also in effect.
Cost for this experience is $27.68 $25.99 (guests ages 10 and older) and $14.90 $13.99 for children (3-9 years old). Call (407) WDW-DINE for more information and to make reservations. Pre-payment via credit is required to make reservations. Magic Kingdom admission is also required.
Note: The Wishes Dessert party has been a Magic Kingdom seasonal event at Walt Disney World Resort long enough that guests who are interested in attending one should call Disney to inquire about its availabilty when planning a trip. Prices will vary, depending on the date or season.
Disneyland guests should note that the Anaheim theme parks offer a similar dessert buffet for its seasonal Fantasmic! show. Call 714-781-4400 for more information and to make reservations up to 30 days in advance.
