One of the things that sets apart Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort – not to mention the international Disney theme parks – from other vacation places is the attention Disney pays to even its smallest details. One of the things that never lets Disney guests forget they’re in the midst of the magic of the Mouse House is how Disney presents its food.
Disney is particularly clever in its creative use of Mickey Mouse. Mickey’s face and the distinctive three-circle shape of Disney’s most famous character can be found all over the theme parks, resorts, and restaurants.
Mickey Mouse shaped foods
Mickey’s presence appears on everything from Mickey Mouse shaped waffles and ice cream bars. The tri-circle shape shows up in pats of butter, pretzels, and Rice Krispie® treats. Food is plated – for both children and adults – to evoke Mickey, whether in the tri-circle shape or in the red, black, and yellow color scheme.
Particularly striking are the Mickey-shaped fruits and vegetables grown at The Land pavilion in Epcot for use in Walt Disney World restaurants. Using plastic molds, the hydroponically grown tomatoes, cucumbers, and watermelons developed into the iconic tri-circle shape.

Mickey Mouse shaped food as a Hidden Mickey hunt
Mickey Mouse shaped food can be particularly fun for Disney foodie fans. One way to sample the variety of foods is to treat them as part of a Hidden Mickey hunt. Part of the fun is finding the food, part of the fun is eating it, and part of the fun is taking photos and sharing the finds with others.

Yum~ Mickey is always a hit at any Disney Dining location!
I had no idea one could get so many Mickey-shaped foods. I use to make Mickey pancakes for my little ones. But they were quite simple; a large circle with to smaller ones for ears.
The cucumbers were the first thing that caught my eye in the picture. I would love to see their mickey mouse hydroponics pavilion.
One of my daughters friends worked at Disneyworld and they all got Mickey Tattoo's.. do you have one Debra? Tell us the truth. :)
I want one of those cucumber slicers!!! Do they sell them? We love looking for Hidden Mickey's. The kid's meal plates are the best. We still have some of the plastic ones.
Your slideshow was a hit. Also, I have a "thing" for Mickey! Thanks for this great article, as usual!
