Disney child star Mia Talerico: Five year old receiving horrific death threats

See also

Mia Talerico is a five year old actress that plays a role on the Disney Channel series “Good Luck Charlie”. This is the first program that Disney has ever produced with a lesbian couple. Shortly after the show aired horrific threats were made through social media venues such as Instagram.

No one knows for sure if these threats are related to the show because it features a same sex couple or not according to news report from Towerroad on Feb. 10. The little girl is now a victim of harassment and threatening messages. One such message that was written said: "Die Mia, F**king Die in hell! Kill yourself, you deserve to die." Another message was also sent with a photo of the little girl with a bloody fist covering her hear stating: “Yes, kill you stupid b...ch”.

Mia’s mother took action immediately and contacted not only Disney security but also the LAPD’s Threat Management Unit. She wants this suspect caught soon than later and wants all the authorities that can protect her daughter on board. Information about the ongoing investigation are being kept secret so that the suspect or suspects who initiated these threats won’t also read about them though media or internet channels and with due diligence be caught before anything serious becomes of those threats.

A representative from Disney spoke with TV Guide about the show saying: "This particular storyline was developed under the consultancy of child development experts and community advisors. Like all Disney Channel programming, it was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness."

Stars have to deal with a lot in their lives just to get through the filming process and then have to listen to jokes about their performances as well as being hounded by photographers looking to get that perfect shot. Families of child stars are in awe that their little one can rise high in the world and make a career for themselves at an early age. They are proud of their accomplishments and shouldn’t have to worry about being harassed or becoming a victim of death threats.

It is unfathomable that there are people out there that can stoop so low as to threaten bodily harm on a five year old girl. The controversy is still up in the air about whether or not these threats are related to the show or not. Hopefully authorities will be able to nab the suspect and give little Mia the justice she deserves.

The “Good Luck Charlie” finale will air on the Disney Channel on Feb. 16.
