Yes, the increasingly-popular Record Store Day (RSD) event is just around the corner. On Saturday, April 16, music enthusiasts will flock to independent music retailers around the nation to pay homage to the joys of music and music collecting.
As with previous RSD spectaculars, this year’s entry will be riddled with one-day-only exclusive releases and special in-store appearances. And Walt Disney Records is getting on board with a very special vinyl EP featuring Daft Punk’s music from the film TRON: LEGACY!
Entitled TRANSLUCENCE, the 10” record features three tracks from the ceaselessly popular TRON: LEGACY soundtrack, plus one rare track, “Castor,” which was previously only available on the imported 2-CD edition of the soundtrack.

In keeping with its title (and the cutting-edge TRON imagery), TRANSLUCENCE is pressed on translucent vinyl featuring a likeness of the Identity Disks featured in the film and will be available in 3 colors: red, blue and yellow. TRANSLUCENCE is limited to only 6000 manufactured units worldwide - 2000 of each color. The vinyl is packaged in a clear cellophane wrap see-through sleeve to allow for visibility of the picture disc. All disc information is printed on a sticker on the sleeve.
