Walt Disney Pictures and Wheatfield Productions are in pre-production on an exciting new live action sci-fi feature film called "1952". The Disney casting directors are casting starring roles including a boy and girl who can play 10-11 years of age, and a naturally beautiful teen girl who can play 16-17 years of age. Shooting on the project will take place in Vancouver, BC starting this spring, 2013. Auditions are taking place in Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver. All photo-doubles and stand-ins for the film's stars will be hired in Vancouver, as well as all of the extras. Academy Award winner George Clooney has been cast in a lead role.

Disney Casting Kids and Teens for "1952"
In early 2012, Primetime Emmy Award winner Damon Lindelof had a meeting to discuss his new project idea with Walt Disney Studios president of production, Sean Bailey. After Lindelof told Bailey about his idea, Bailey gave Lindelof access to an old box containing documents and materials of a project someone at Disney had once been developing about alien contact. The box had the words "That Darn Cat!" crossed out and in its place was "1952".
This will be an elaborate multi-platform project. Disney is devising an extensive, forward marketing campaign for "1952" that will commence prior to the start of filming. It will include a treasure hunt for fascinated moviegoers that will increasingly disclose clues about story and build excitement for the film right up until it hits theaters.
