What does it take to stay sexy in the city? Certainly not plastic surgery, says Sarah Jessica Parker. The "Sex in the City" star is slamming rumors that she had cosmetic surgery, reported the SF Gate on Dec. 20.
When she learned that gossip magazines were reporting that she had investigated plastic surgery, Sarah Jessica felt nauseated.
"I felt like I needed to be hospitalized. But it really got me to thinking," said Sarah.
The reality check? She feels good about her appearance, she added.
"It was so ridiculous, so outrageous" that people thought she would consider having plastic surgery, said the actress.
Instead, Sarah Jessica relies on the Hamptons diet to maintain her slender body, according to Fit Sugar. The low carbohydrate diet emphasizes protein, vegetables and fruits. Initially created by New York diet doctor Fred Pescatore, it's now documented in the book "The Hamptons Diet: Lose Weight Quickly and Safely with the Doctor's Delicious Meal Plans" (click for details).
And how does she get those famously toned arms? Yoga classes and personal training sessions.
"I do like feeling fit and healthy. When you're young, you can run around and not really care about what shape you're in because you wake up every day feeling OK. But now that I'm older, I need to do more for myself," Sarah Jessica told Good Housekeeping.
Part of her work out: Walking. Whether it's to run an errand or go somewhere fun with her children, the woman famed for her love of shoes uses them to pound the pavement and work off the calories.
“She loves the smell of shoes,” George Malkemus, Parker’s business partner (and the President of Manolo Blahnik) recently informed Fashionista.
And even more, she loves using them.
