It is not too late to start living a healthier lifestyle. For a little motivation Discovery Green holds free exercise classes almost every day of the week in the summer. Summer is not over yet.
No pre-registration is required to participate in these classes. Participants under the age of 18 must have parent consent. Participants are required to sign an exercise release form upon arrival.
Participants need only bring a towel and water to participate in class. It is recommended that participants of yoga bring their own mats, as there are a limited amount of yoga mats available for public use.
On Mondays at 6:30 p.m. participants can tone up with Bum-ba Toning classes. On Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. participants can build strength and flexibility with Core Focused Yoga. On Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. participants can dance-exercise the hour away with Zumba Class and then come back for more dancing on Thursday at the same time with Summer Night Salsa. Slow Flow Yoga is available on Saturdays at 9:30 am.
Through the end of August there are also a Kayak classes available on Wednesdays at 6:30-7:30 pm. This class is free of charge. Kayak Rides on the weekends as well as Kayak Camp cost $5 per person.
