The Christmas shopping season has officially started. Everyone is searching the crowded malls and shopping centers for that special gift – and get the best deal. Those of us seeking that unique gift have many options in Baltimore. These include holiday festivals, fairs, and bazaars. A popular holiday attraction is the Ben’s Friends Holiday Bazaar held at Benjamin Banneker Historic Park and Museum near Ellicott City.

Ben’s Friends Holiday Bazaar
On Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Friends of Benjamin Banneker Historic Park and Museum is hosting the Ben’s Friends Holiday Bazaar at the Museum. This free event is open to the general public. Pre-registration is not required.

Ben’s Friends Holiday Bazaar at the Museum is a great shopping event for your gift giving needs. Best of all the prices are just right for the budget conscience holiday shopper. This is a perfect family friendly experience for the holidays, sure to be a yearly tradition.

Toy Drive
Starting December 1 through December 21, the Friends of Benjamin Banneker Historic Park and Museum is hosting a Toy Drive to benefit local children’s charities. Unwrapped toy donations can be dropped off at the museum on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What You Need to Know
The Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum is located on 300 Oella Avenue in Oella, Maryland.

The park is open from sunrise to sunset 7 days per week, 365 days of the year. The museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission to the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum is free to the public, although some programs require a registration fee.

There are many family activities suited to individuals and families with children available at the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum, hosted by the Friends of Benjamin Banneker Historic Park and Museum. Activities include arts, music, cultural, living history, and nature programs.

Remember This
All programs require pre-registration with payments due 5 days after registration. Unless specified all programs are rain or shine. Geared towards families and individuals, programs are not designed for groups or as daycare.

All children 13 and under must attend with a responsible adult. Arrangements can be made for organizational and group programs by calling the Park Office.
