Disapproval for Senator Shaheen rises by double digits

The University of New Hampshire’s Survey Center published a new Senate political poll today. The last was taken in October of last year. In what isn’t a surprise to many in New Hampshire, Senator Shaheen’s disapproval rating rose by 12%. Shaheen’s approval rating dropped by 7%. What happened since the October poll? Obamacare was rolled out. That’s when thousands of Granite Staters found out Shaheen lied to them about being able to keep their health insurance plans. That’s when thousands found out they would lose their doctor and even the hospital they could use thanks to Shaheen’s vote for Obamacare.

Thousands saw increases in their premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket maxes they would have to pay thanks to Shaheen’s vote for Obamacare. Obviously these are things that do not reflect well on the Senator. Shaheen understands this and still hasn’t given a real town hall (same with Representative Shea-Porter). Wait until this year when thousands in New Hampshire will lose their health insurance that is provided by their employers.

Democrats are trying to spin the changes as being caused by negative ads. This shows just how out-of-touch they are with Granite Staters. An example of one of the ads Democrats are referring to is when Shaheen was called out by Americans for Prosperity for her ‘lie of the year’. What they don’t seem to grasp is that Shaheen did lie over and over and over again. It was proven that every single Democrat who voted for Obamacare (not one Republican voted for it) was told by the Congressional Budget Office that millions would lose their health insurance if the bill was passed. Shaheen’s lies and vote for Obamacare has indeed hurt many families in the Granite State and will hurt many more in the coming year. The polls are showing exactly how New Hampshire feels about Shaheen’s vote for Obamacare.
