It does not matter whether it is hand cycling, surfing, golf, cycling, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing, sailing, fishing, Scuba, climbing, hiking, track, triathlon, equestrian and more, “Disabled Sports USA’s mission is to provide national leadership and opportunities for individuals with disabilities to develop independence, confidence, and fitness through participation in community sports, recreation and educational programs.”

According to one member, “Disabled Sports USA’s mission is to provide national leadership and opportunities for individuals with disabilities to develop independence, confidence, and fitness through participation in community sports, recreation and educational programs.”

For nearly fifty years, since 1967, Disabled Sports USA has focused on one goal: To improve the lives of wounded warriors, youth and adults with disabilities by providing sports and recreation opportunities.

During those intervening years the “Wounded Warriors” of the Disabled Sports USA, developed seven “seasonal” programs designed to enable the members accomplish their mission.
