Linda Stewart the water bill woman forwarded me the following email:
"To all concerned:
I have been complaining for over 3 years on the quality of my water.
This picture is January 3, 2009 and I am still having problems.
My water is dirty, and it stinks. No one should have to live with this.

Dear Ms. Stewart
Drinking water samples were collected from 4900 Curtis Avenue (sink) 6/9/08 and analyzed at the Montebello Water Quality Laboratory. The results are as follows:
CHEMICAL:
Free Chlorine 0.00
pH, units 7.18
Iron, mg/L 0.25
Color, units 6.0
Ammonia, mg/L <0.01
Turbidity 1.19
Chloride 54.0
Odor no detectable odor
These results are out of compliance for Primary and Secondary State and Federal regulations of potable water for the Turbidity parameter. These results indicate that the water is rusty and extensive flushing is recommended to bring in chlorine and eliminate rust.
If there are any questions concerning this report, please feel free to contact me at 410-396-6040.
Very truly yours,
LISA JONES
LABORATORY SUPERVISOR
MONTEBELLO LABORATORY"

Water bills have no problem going up, but service is shoddy. When you call down town to dispute a bill and why it is so high, all you get is some lame excuse that puts the blame back on you. That you're using too much water. Well, I can remember when my water bill use average no more than $ 50.00 a quarter. The city still has one resevoir our of service near Baltimore City Community College. Are they ever going to finish that hole that has been their for over several years!!!!
