Director of the microbudget film Sinister, Scott Derrickson, tweeted Tuesday afternoon that, “My next movie will be STRANGE". The director is seen holding up a copy of the Doctor Strange comic book.

It looks like the huge financial success of Sinister, which cost $3 million but earned over $80 million, intrigued Marvel Studios enough to select Scott Derrickson to direct a comic character that deals with the occult and mysticism. While the budget for Doctor Strange has not been announced, it is safe to say that Marvel is hoping Scott Derrickson will be able to maximize the budget and deliver another success for Marvel Studios.

Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the Marvel Studios films, is producing the project. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Lee, and Stephen Broussard are onboard as executive producers.
