According to Comic Book Movie on April 7, Drew Goddard, who directed "Cabin in the Woods", has been confirmed for the "Spider-Man" spin-off comic book movie "The Sinister Six". The movie will focus on the development of the villains forming a team in opposition to their foe Spider-Man.

Initially Goddard was hired in December, but at the time the deal was not set in stone for him to helm the spin-off film. Also a solo "Venom" film is in the works and the team comprised of that project consist of Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Ed Solomon. Kurtzman has been confirmed as director of said Spider-Man villain solo film.

That being said, it's now unsure that Kurtzman will be involved with at least directing the first episode of "Daredevil" which is suppose to be released on Netflix. So it appears there will be scheduling issues about, but it would depend on what Sony Pictures desires as far as when to start on "The Sinister Six".
