Raf Simmons struck it rich once again with this fall 2013 collection for Dior. After taking over a few seasons ago, Simmons has brought his master architectural fashion skills to Dior once again. However, this time around there was a mix of more fluid shapes throughout the collection which gave the collection a sense of modern romance.

Midi-length skirts, flowing ball gown skirts, mixed prints and shapes that channeled Dior's New Look collection decades ago made their way throughout the collection. The mix of black and shades of blue was a breath of fresh air after seeing so many heavy dark fabrics throughout the scores of fall 2013 fashion shows in New York and Paris.
The Raf Simmons signature look is working for Dior and the structured shapes are timeless, but read thoroughly modern for women of any age group. While skirts and dresses ruled at the Dior show, there were plenty of capes and jackets too proving that it's the year of the topper. The strong finishing touch can make or break a look.
