Dinosaur Jr. announces headlining show in Phoenix

One of the wonderful things about living in Phoenix is the city’s proximity to Southern California and Las Vegas. Indio is a short four hour drive away, so it’s no surprise that many Coachella bands are stopping by the Valley of the Sun between Coachella weekends.

The most recent Coachella run off band announcement is a big one—Dinosaur Jr. The band was excellent at last year’s FYF Festival in Los Angeles and should be even better in the intimate Crescent Ballroom. This seminal indie rock band fell off the radar for a bit in the early aughts, but made a comeback with 2007’s Beyond. The band’s most recent work was 2012’s I Bet on Sky, so the forthcoming headlining show should be a good balance of old and new material.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 8 through Crescent Ballroom’s website. If you are interested in attending this show, you should buy tickets ASAP, especially after Modest Mouse sold out so fast.

Dinosaur Jr. is scheduled to perform at Crescent Ballroom on Friday, April 19. Tickets are $24-27, doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8:30.
