Dzwilewski broke his foot in the third quarter on Saturday in the Dinos' 41-31 win over the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver. It was the season opener for the Dinos.
During the game Dzwilewski, who will not need surgery, had completed 21 of 35 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown.
The Dinos are now expected to go with Calgary native Andrew Buckley at quarterback. Despite the victory, according to CHUM Radio in Toronto, the Dinos have dropped from third place to fifth place in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport football rankings.
Also on Tuesday, Dinos' cornerback Adam Laurensse was named the Canada West defensive player of the week. Laurensse had two interceptions and four tackles in the Dinos victory.
The Dinos will now play the University of Regina at Regina's Mosaic Stadium Friday evening before returning home to McMahon Stadium to play the University of Saskatchewan on September 14 in their season opener.
