Dinos move men's hockey playoff games to Max Bell Centre

According to the University of Calgary Assistant Athletics Director Ben Matchett, the University of Calgary Dinos men's hockey team will have to play games one and two of the Canada West quarterfinal series against the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds at Max Bell Centre Friday and Saturday night instead of their home ice rink at Father David Bauer Arena.

The change in venue is due to the Winsport Invitational Figure Skating Competition that will take place at Father David Bauer Arena from Friday to Sunday. If the Dinos and Thunderbirds are forced to a third and deciding game in their best of three series in Canadian Interuniversity Sport hockey action, it will return to Father David Bauer Arena Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. as regularly scheduled.

Games one and two at Max Bell Centre remain at 7:00 p.m.

Max Bell Centre is host to the Calgary Canucks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League and has hosted curling as a demonstration sport during the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in addition to the 1995 Scott Tournament of Hearts.
