Point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson of Winnipeg, Manitoba led the Dinos with 21 points in a 71-68 victory over the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans in exhibition play for both squads.
The Trojans are one of two teams from Arkansas playing in Calgary this weekend. The University of Arkansas State are also in town.
According to Dinos' communications co-ordinator Lindsay Franco, a major turning point in the contest came from Dinos forward Matt Letkeman of Abbotsford, British Columbia, who delivered a significant slam dunk late in the game to extend a slim Dinos lead from one to three points.
The game was officiated by Calgary native Mike Weiland, who has refereeing experience in the National Basketball Association Development League.
The Dinos will play the Trojans again on Saturday night.
