Dinner and dancing for Valentine's Day, part two: Fogo de Chao (Photos)

International Drive, which is in the Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando area, is well known for its restaurants. Want to take your partner out for dinner on Valentine's Day but don't know where to go? Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse on I-Drive is the perfect spot for couples because it has something to please every appetite.

Obviously, Fogo de Chao is a place for meat-eaters, as you can tell by the name. The meat is delicious and plentiful. It's roasted on spits, then carved right at table. Beef, chicken, lamb, pork, and more just keeps on coming, and coming, and coming until you throw in the towel. There are sauces like creamy horseradish and mint jelly, but the meat is so deliciously seasoned that it doesn't really need any enhancement.

But what if you're a meat eater but your partner is more into salad? Never fear, because you'll easily fill up at Fogo de Chao even if you never touch a morsel of meat. The salad bar is extensive and upscale. It's only drawback is that you can easily fill up on it before you've had a chance to get too far with the meat. Beware, because you also get side dishes of mashed potatoes, bananas, and polenta.

I love salad, so that was my dilemma in High Octane Date Night. I took more salad than I intended, although I still made room for a few kinds of beef, some lamb, and even the papaya cream dessert. Check out the slideshow at the top of this article for some scenes from Fogo de Chao. You're always provided with a disk to let the servers know if you want more meat or if you're done. Notice in the slideshow that the disks are heart shaped for Valentine's Day.

A word of warning with the disks. As soon as you flip to the green side, you'll find carvers swarming your table to offer you a wide variety of meats. They'll all be tempted, so plot out your must-tries in advance. Otherwise, it's too easy to fill up on other options before those meats make it to your table.

Reservations are a must for Valentine's Day and a good idea any time. Call 407-370-0711. The restaurant is on International Drive, just off Sand Lake Road.
