In the summer of 2012, Riverstone in Coeur d'Alene welcomed a delicious new restaurant. Le Peep is a locally owned and operated breakfast and lunch hot spot. It is bright, clean and the food and service are fantastic.
Many restaurants have gluten free options, but the cool thing about Le Peep is they have an entire gluten free menu. From omlettes and skillet meals to belgian waffles. Their French toast made with gluten free Challah bread dipped in custard batter sounds too good to be true. Katz Gluten Free Bakery provides the restaurant with their gluten free breads and waffles.
For those with Celiac or other gluten allergies, ingesting even a hint of gluten can be life threatening. Printed on the front of the gluten free menu , "At Le Peep we created a menu with a wide selection of gluten free options and educated our kitchen staff on the importance of cross contamination."
Whether you are a gluten free diner or not, Le Peep is a wonderful place to dine. They specialize in a large selection of breakfast items, as well as a delicious lunch line up. Their coffee and espresso drinks are a treat as well. On nice days their patio is open and overlooks the Spokane River.
Le Peep is open weekdays from 6:30 am-2:30pm and weekend hours are 7:00 am-3:00 pm. They will be open Easter Sunday serving their regular menu. Seating is on a first come basis as they do not take reservations. Their address is: 1884 W. Bellerive #101, Coeur d'Alene, ID. Their phone number is: 208-664-0404.
