Dining gluten free at new Garbazo's in Boca Raton

See also

Garbanzo's Mediterranean Grill is now open in Boca Raton. This is the first location in Florida. New locations planned for Dade and Broward county, locations not specified on the website.

Gluten free diners can rejoice! Tons of gluten free options clearly marked; vegan and vegetarian options clearly marked as well - now that's how you put a diner at ease.

Menu options include platters, kabobs, salad, and soups. Several of the soups are gluten free. The menu also includes pitas and laffa sandwiches, not currently gluten free. Testing is being done on gluten free pita bread in 3 Colorado state locations: http://www.eatgarbanzo.com/blog/?p=578. Gluten free bread baker is the company MyBread: http://www.mybreadbakery.com

Hopefully sometime in 2014 gluten free pitas will become available at the Boca Raton location. Until then, there are tons of tasty gluten free options.

You can get a platter filled with hummus, veggie salad, red cabbage, romaine lettuce, falafel, chicken or steak, grape leaves, olives, egg, portobello mushroom. The falafel is made with ground chick peas and spices, it is fried instead of baked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Many fresh options to choose from. Haven't tried a soup, but definitely will next time. Most are gluten free and looked really delicious.
