April showers bring May flowers. Do you know what else happens for most of April? "Book of Mormon" comes to Boston Apr. 1- Apr. 27, 2014 at the Boston Opera House. A musical created from the same people that brought you "South Park" and "Orgazmo"? It's sure to deliver us onto laughter.

"Book of Mormon" is a Broadway musical created by the duo Trey Parker and Matt Stone with Robert Lopez aimed as a whimsical parody of the faith held by The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints. What's the premise? A pair of missionaries are sent to a village in Africa with hopes of converting the locals to their religion. Hilarity ensues as one of the Elders attempts to explain the life of Joseph Smith, but never read the sacred text himself. He starts embellishing known doctrine with pop culture references to sci-fi. The villagers take the incredible stories to heart and are moved by the idea of eternal paradise. How will the church leaders and the local warlord react to their distorted new-found convictions? You'll have to watch and see.

You can purchase your tickets on the Ticketmaster website. Can't make it to the Boston shows? Check out the rest of the tour here.
