Downtown Vancouver restaurants were busy yesterday and it was all for a good cause. Last evening five of us gathered at one of the 10 Dine Around Vancouver for Oso Relief eateries in downtown Vancouver. For some of us the event was a chance to try new restaurants. For others it was an excuse to get out of the kitchen and savor some great downtown cuisine.
What we noticed was that people knew about the event and supported it. Our group chose Charlies Bistro for our dinner. With meals ranging from Ahi Tuni Salad to Stuffed Pork Chop, we appreciated the variety of options. The conversation was good and the evening went quickly. It was a great thing to do on a rainy night. The bonus was the opportunity to give to the Snohomish Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Vancouver, Washington restaurants banded together to raise funds for Oso landslide relief. Chef/Owner Willem Paul Klitsie of Willem’s on Main in downtown Vancouver spearheaded “Dine Around Vancouver” to Support Oso Relief. It was held on Wednesday, April 23rd.
