Would fans of “The Real Housewives of New York City” watch the show religiously if one more cast member was added? On the popular late show, "Watch What Happens Live" on Thursday it was Lindsay Lohan who suggested that the case add her mother, Dina Lohan, to the show. According to Radar Online on Friday, the star seemed to wait until the last minute to suggest to Andy Cohen that he needed to add another star to the show.
“I have to say something! Jill Zarin has a message for you — she [said she] and my mom should do the New York housewives to bring the ratings back up again,” said Lindsay Lohan about her thought on the Bravo series.
While the way that Lindsay Lohan shared the idea was sort of eye raising as she pitched it like the ratings were doing bad for the season and needed a boost, it was the lack of knowledge she had about the show that made everyone wonder if she really watches. Viewers who watch week to week are very aware of the delay between taping and airing. Sometimes it is months in-between before the cast sees the final edits. So for someone in the business to suggest adding a cast member to a show that is already taped, well that seems suspicious in many ways. It makes viewers wonder if she watches the show.
So will Dina Lohan be on “The Real Housewives of New York City”? Well, if Lindsay Lohan had anything to say about it, she would be tuned in and inviting her friends too. It appeared that Andy Cohen took the idea under advisement and then got back to his work as host. As the show is in the middle of the season and nobody expects any changes, at least this season, the plug was a slightly awkward moment.
Would Dina Lohan be a good star to add to “The Real Housewives of New York City”? It seems like the ladies currently on the show are a little more sophisticated than the Lohan’s might be comfortable hanging around with.
