Celebrate the exit of winter Bollywood-style, with 'Din Check…Live in Concert,' scheduled for 6 p.m. on April 12 at Keefe Technical Auditorium in Framingham, Mass. Known for their high energy concerts that showcase Bollywood music, New England-based Din Check will feature hits from Hindi movies in addition to fusion music in regional Indian languages during the concert.

The band is following up their highly successful run in 2013 that included a stage concert at Park Theatre in Cranston, Rhode Island. The team of musicians includes Sameer Bhambhani (lead and rhythm guitar), Jolly Bhatia (male vocals), Kamal Dasu (drums), Sam Rao (percussion), Anandini Sekhar (female vocals/keyboard), Sarmistha Samantaray (female vocals) and Kira Wilke (violin). Hindustani-trained musician Meenakshi Rana coaches the team. "They are experienced performers and are truly zealous about what they do," says Priya Jayaraman, spokesperson for Din Check. "Unlike karaoke style, live Bollywood bands like Din Check are not very common in the New England area. The band is building on their presence, expanding their reach and gaining popularity in the Indian community," she adds. Expect the concert to appeal to all ages and include music from a variety of genres, from old hits, rock ballads and romantic duets to sufi music, dance hits and instrumentals, says Jayaraman.
