Dimitri’s Rail has become an increasingly well-known name. The band has been rising to the top of the national rock scene with a little country twist, over the past few years. The band was formed by lead singer/songwriter, Paul Ehmer. The EP, “Wake Up”, released in September 2010, is their first major release with Universal Music Group/Fontana Distribution through Indie Extreme/Desert Highway Records. “Will Never Break” the new single reached 86th in Best of Rock Chart in 2011. In the top 100 for 1 week, Top 10 in Hard Rock, June 2011, Top 40 in Rock, November 2011!
Off of their full length release, “Will Never Break” the new single hit Clear Channel rock stations nationwide February 9, 2011. “Will Never Break” was also up for nomination for the 54th Grammy Awards. The song was produced by producer Daryl Youngblood long time friend of Paul Ehmer. Paul is the double-whammy rock Lead singer / guitar maestro with an unmistakable ‘no holds barred’ incredible vocals and pure command of that guitar. Mike Maloney, who plays drums, amazes you with his perfect timing and you begin to wonder if he has four arms – he’s that good! Eric Dockery‘s bass mezmerizingly captures you with heartbeat of each song and won’t let you go – not that you would want to! Coming to the electric guitar of Justin Pena, holds the amazing spark and multi-force electric thread with such passion.
A project started by songwriter/front-man Paul Ehmer, Dimitri's Rail has evolved over the last few years to become one of Texas' best original live rock bands. Hard efforts have paid off leading to accomplishments such as a nomination for male vocalist / band of the year by the Academy of Texas Music, becoming a 94.5 The Buzz: Texas Buzz featured band, and have been featured in such popular music festivals; Midpoint Music Festival (Cincinnati, Oh) Northgate Music Festival (College Station, TX) and Austin, Texas's famous SXSW.
Currently DR is back in the studio recording the second full length album with producer Daryl Youngblood at Duo Tone studios; Daryl has had 5 National Number 1 hits and 9 top 10 singles. He has been signed to 3 record labels (2 Indie & 1 major). As a Producer/ Engineer, Daryl, has had placement and in major motion pictures like Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get married. & ESPN. Dimitri's Rail is currently in the top 10 nationwide on the clear channel new music network for Rock and Alt Rock for unsigned artists. Dimitri's Rail is also receiving airplay on numerous mainstream, internet and indie stations worldwide.
