Dim and Den Sum deliver a Food Network Show scoop to Allen Cox

The creators/owners of Cleveland gourmet food trucks Dim and Den Sum made a big announcement Tuesday afternoon on Allen Cox’s WMMS radio show. Their new food truck, Hodge Podge, will be one of the 8 teams competing this season on the Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race later this summer.

Dim and Den Sum is a Cleveland based restaurant on wheels specializing in comfort food with an Asian twist. The bold graphic designed trucks have been very popular with the late night party goers among the streets of downtown Cleveland. Yet the pair was quick to point out; servicing late night party goers on the weekends does not pay the bills. The ability to now service lunch and dinner patrons throughout the greater Cleveland area has enabled them to remain in business.

The pair told Allen Cox Show listeners, they credited their Twitter followers for pressuring Cleveland City Council members to approve legislation that permits their restaurant on wheels, as well as others, to broaden their locations and hours of operation.

Dim and Den Sum currently have two food trucks that circulate throughout the city. Their third truck Hodge Podge, described on air Tuesday as an ingredient driven cuisine by the team, is scheduled to debut this week. Hungry food-goers can find the gourmet trucks daily locations and hours of operations schedules via Twitter, Facebook, or at dimanddensum.com.

The Great Food Truck Race is slated to premiere Sunday, August 14th on the Food Network.
