Dignity Health is expanding the reach of its health care services in the Valley with the groundbreaking of a brand new hospital in Glendale.
St. Joseph's Westgate Medical Center will open next year in the bustling Westgate area off the Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue in Glendale. The $44 million, 35-acre Dignity Health medical facility is expected to open with emergency services as a primary focus, gradually expanding into a larger hospital.
Dignity Health, formerly Catholic Healthcare West, is the parent organization of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
The new medical campus will provide West Valley residents with a new alternative to receive high quality healthcare services.
Meanwhile, a cancer care center is breaking ground soon on the campus of Dignity's St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center at Third Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix. St. Joseph's boasts Barrow's Neurological Institute, a trauma center, complete obstetrical care and neonatal intensive care in one of the Valley's biggest hospitals.
