Digi-Art Throwdown Contest brings a plethora of LoL fanart

Riot held a Digi-Art Throwdown Contest prior to the start of Season 3 and finally they've revealed the winners. Apparently they received a plethora of submissions from fans but only 17 summoners could receive the title of winner. Only two however could be worthy of receiving the grand prize.

Out of over 5,500 submissions just two received a22-inch HD Cintiq tablet. The two top entries feature Ezreal using his Iceborn Gauntlet to steal Baron and the other some devilish Yordles hitting the drawing board while Vi works on upgrading Blitzcrank. The other 15 runners-up will be receiving Riot goodie bags full of swag.

In fact the huge amount of submissions was such an overflowing pool of talent that Riot may be using some of the artwork in the future. LoL fans can’t seem to get enough fan art and it looks like there will be a whole lot more of it. Submissions were made from players all over the world and you can view a gallery of the 17 winners here.
