Pittsburgh Paranormal Examiner investigated the team members of Steel City Ghost Hunters during the week. The evidence that was found is enough to make a statement.
Steel City Ghost Hunters is a brand new team, but are not new to the paranormal realm.
Melissa of the Steel City Ghost Hunters is the one who devoured the questions.
Melissa based all answers on her knowledge and all information contained is true to the best of her belief.
Examiner: Where is your group located? When did the group form?
Melissa: We are located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We formed this group in May of 2010.
Groups always get their start somewhere. This Examiner tips her hat to the newest group formed in the area.
Examiner: Are you skeptics or believers?
Melissa: I am a believer; reason being is I grew up in Fineview on the Northside, which used to be called Nunnery Hill. It was built on top of a graveyard that we found numerous amounts of jewelery and tombstones, and yes while digging in the backyard as a child we ran into a few caskets… so living there with all of my experiences with the paranormal made me what i am today...a believer.
We are discovering more teams in this area who are believers due to the evidence discovered. This Examiner feels this is a trend that the Pittsburgh area is seeing rapid growth in. SteelCity GhostHunters is not an exception to this trend. Their evidence is gathering rapidly in their short time as a group.
Melissa, of SteelCity, believes in demons but hopes to never encounter one though.
They offer all their services for free. They are just starting out and have their basic equipment which includes a night vision camcorder with infrared lights.
Their investigations have included a few graveyards and the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. They are going to investigate Hill View Manor as soon as possible!
Examiner: What is your greatest evidence?
Melissa:
Well, there are 3 for me..1-is from my house in Fineview, when i was about 16 i was laying in my bed on my stomach and my mattress popped up about a foot and threw me up. Of course this was after i played with a ouija board in my room, so to this day I sleep with a rosary on my bed. 2-is an experience i will NEVER forget, my grandmother always told me "never die or cut your beautiful red hair" well after her passing in 2001 i was sitting on my bed crying with my hair over my shoulders laying on my chest, when the right side of my hair was swiped from the front of me to my back and 3 is basically just a few fantastic EVPs we have caught.
This is some fantastic evidence brought from a local newcomer team. It appears that SteelCity will be up and growing over the next few years. It is a prediction this Examiner hopes to see happen to all our local teams.
Examiner was very interested in Melissa’s approach to her group of SteelCity!
Melissa: We are a new group just starting off in the Pittsburgh area, some of us have had experiences growing up and some have never had one. I am a firm believer in the paranormal, but still skeptic to a lot. I don’t always believe what I see or am told (un)til I investigate it myself. We are not a looking to get rid of any paranormal of sorts, we are just interested in having an opportunity to investigate facilities of any sort and collect evidence to share on our website. And beings we are a new group, we are always appreciative to any help from other groups!
Pittsburgh Paranormal Examiner greatly thanks this new team for taking time out of their busy schedule to introduce themselves to the Greater Pittsburgh area. Thank you for joining us in the paranormal realm.
