Actor Conrad Bain has died of natural causes, reported the Los Angeles Times on Jan. 16. Bain died peacefully on Monday at his Livermore, Calif. nursing home, said his daughter, Jennifer Bain.
The deceased actor was best known for his role on “Different Strokes”, the hit late 70s to 80s TV sitcom show. He played the rich white millionaire, Phillip Drummond living with his two adopted sons from Harlem and daughter on Park Avenue in New York.
Actors Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges played the sons and actress Dana Plato played the daughter.
Dana Plato, who played the role of Kimberly, died from an overdose of pain killers at the age of 34 on March 8, 1999. Gary Colman, who played little Arnold, died from brain hemorrhage after falling down at the age of 42 on May 26, 2010.
Todd Bridges, who played older brother, Willis on the show, is the only surviving former co star; he is 47 years old.
