Different Pointe of View Hosts Spring Season of Intimate “Insider’s View” Dinner

The iconic AAA Four-Diamond mountaintop restaurant Different Pointe of View at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort has unveiled two impressive events as part of its annual “Intimate Insider’s View Dinner Series,” their unique take on winemaker dinners limited to just 12 guests to ensure maximum intimacy.

On April 11, the iconic dining locale, recently honored with Open Tables 2014 Dining Award, will welcome Napa Valley fine wine importing company Quintessential Wines as their featured wine pairing partner for the evening. Quintessential’s mission is to nurture a roster of family-owned wineries from around the world whose wines reflect the best expressions and highest quality of their particular appellations. As a special treat, the evening will also feature the fast-growing wine importing company’s owner, Stephen Kreps, who started the business with his son, Dennis.

Then, on May 23, Different Pointe Of View will welcome Aquinas Winery and its owner, Donny Sebastiani, to join them in hosting a wine dinner with varietals sourced from the Napa Valley, Sonoma Coast Clarkburg and Paso Robles. Named in honor of St. Thomas Aquinas, the seminal 13th Century Italian priest, theologian and philosopher who dedicated his life to reconciling reason and faith, Aquinas believes in challenging assumptions about wine as St. Thomas challenges his of the world.

These partnerships mark the close of Different Pointe Of View’s fourth season hosting the acclaimed dinners, which offer an exclusive opportunity to hear the personal stories of the passion and triumph of winemaking in America from California’s most respected winemakers – while sipping and tasting a collection of their finest wines. Guests will also indulge in the interactive culinary talents, aromas and conversation of Different Pointe of View Chef Anthony DeMuro as he prepares a decadent four-course dinner entirely tableside. Chef DeMuro curates each menu to not only complement featured wines, but to incorporate vital super foods and showcase how these incredibly healthy ingredients can be transformed to memorable dishes.

“Super foods have been and continue to be hugely popular in the food scene,” said Chef DeMuro. “I’ll be featuring ingredients like quinoa and kale on the Insider’s View dinner menus and will share my favorite secrets to bringing out the best flavors of each super food.”

Each Insider’s View dinner begins at 6:15 p.m. with a wine reception in the Terrace Room, followed by an interactive tableside dinner and wine pairing at Different Pointe of View.
