Conrad Bain, the “Diff’rent Strokes” star, has died in his hometown Livermore, CA on Monday. The death was confirmed by his daughter, Jennifer Bain, to People on Jan. 16.
There are not a lot of details about his death but his daughter did say he had been unconscious for a couple days before he passed. She also added that he was comfortable. He was living in a retirement home in Livermore, CA.
Bain is most famously known for playing Mr. Drummond on “Diff’rent Strokes” but he also was an actor on Broadway playing in “The Iceman Cometh” and “On Borrowed Time.”
He also played Dr. Arthur Harmon on the show “Maude” but he was never known more than his role as Mr. Drummond where he starred with Todd Bridges and Gary Coleman.
Conrad Bain is survived by his three sons and his one daughter. He also has a twin brother, Bonar Bain. Conrads wife, Monica, died in 2009.
