Diets Don't Work

Conventional fad diets do not work.  These diets operate by restricting you of important nutrients that your body needs. Your body will crave the banned foods and you will eventually  breakdown and binge on those very foods. Then comes the  guilt and despair.  What happened to the  self control?

One is doomed to fail at this type of eating from the beginning.  It is difficult to sustain something that doesn’t feel natural.  The high protein/ low carb diet is scientifically and nutritionally flawed.   Every living human being needs complex carbohydrates for energy, mental clarity, and a positive attitude. People on mostly high protein diets start to suffer from constipation, mood swings, headaches and depression.  No fat diets restrict the intake of essential fatty acids (EFAs).  Foods high in EFAs are fat burning agents.  The EFAs help the body to dissolve fat.  So again it is bad science.  A diet is meant to help you lose weight, not retain weight right.

We are what we eat. So lets  choose a healthy lifestyle,  in which we eat an abundance of healthy foods.   Our life sustenance is food.   Good foods will boost vitality, keep  you healthy, increase your thinking power, reduce stress and prevent mood swings.  More specifically  good foods can prevent heart disease, fight against cancer, slow down aging and strengthen the immune system.

What are considered GOOD foods?  They are broken down into five categories.  Good carbohydrates are called complex carbs.  They contain naturally occurring sugars that are easily and slowly metabolized for useful energy.  They are not stripped of their nutrients.  Examples of good carbs are fruits, whole grains and vegetables.  Next are Living foods, which are raw foods. They have not been cooked, boiled, steamed, microwaved, frozen or baked.  They are still in their original state and contain food enzymes.  Food enzymes help in the digestion process.  Raw fruits and vegetables, sprouted grains or sprouted seeds all contain food enzymes.  We need these in abundance to nourish our bodies and balance our metabolism.  Good proteins are vegetable proteins which are easy to break down in the body. Combining beans and grains together forms a complete protein which is easy to digest and enhances metabolism.  Quinoa is a vegetable protein which is easy to digest and is more economical than meat.  Good fats do exist.  They are oil rich nutritious foods     ( EFAs )  like nuts, seeds and avocados.  The healthy fats in these foods lower cholesterol, metabolize fat, enhance immunity and nourish the reproductive organs, as well as the skin, hair and bone tissue.  The human body cannot make EFAs, so one must get them from the foods that are eaten.  Lastly, there are organic foods.  These are foods that have been grown in soils devoid of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.  Foods from chemically treated soils and which have been sprayed with chemicals are toxic to the  bodies cells. These harmful chemicals inside the  body can affect  ones health.

Good foods provide the majority of the nutrients one needs to stay healthy and happy.  These foods have direct influence on a person’s emotional, mental and physical states.  Eating healthy, high quality foods is the smartest and most powerful way to create a better more abundant LIFE!
