A popular trainer on "The Biggest Loser," Dolvett Quince dished with "The Chew" on Jan. 9 about his weight loss tips and low-calorie recipes. If you're struggling to lose weight and love to eat out, Dolvett has a simple rule for you to follow: Lose the bread. Chowing down at restaurants on that bread basket can add on excess calories without nourishing your bread. And that includes those bread sticks.
But if you love to crunch, Dolvett has the solution with his Spinach Chips recipe below.
- 1 bag Spinach
- Vegetable Cooking Spray
- Seasoning Mix
Directions: Preheat the oven to 300°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper. Wash and thoroughly dry the spinach. Tear the larger leaves into 1" to 2" strips. Place the spinach leaves in a single layer on the parchment paper. Spritz lightly with vegetable cooking spray and sprinkle with seasoning mix to taste.
Bake until the spinach is dry and has darkened slightly, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove immediately from the pan and transfer to a serving dish. Serve immediately, or store in a brown paper bag at room temperature for up to 3 days.
